Let’s Huddle: COVID-19 Defense Playbook

Over the past 8 years, Dre Kirkpatrick’s 21 Kids Foundation has positioned itself as reliable and relatable resource in the eyes of children and families who live and work in underserved rural communities across northern Alabama. As a recipient of the Alabama Department of Public Health COVID-19 Outreach Grant, Dre Kirkpatrick’s 21 Kids Foundation will aim to accomplish the following goals and objectives to ensure African American and Hispanic families who live and work in high-risk areas of Etowah and Calhoun counties feel understood, respected, well-informed, and supported.
  • Goal 1: EDUCATE: Decrease Vaccine Hesitation and Increase Vaccine Confidence among high-risk communities through education, authentic outreach, and collaborative partnerships.
  • Goal 2: ENGAGE: Implement community engagement activities events to promote vaccination outreach and services.
  • Goal 3: EMPOWER: Increase capacity of rural COVID-19 providers to deliver safe and effective vaccine services and outreach in the most underserved and high-risk facilities.

Transportation Assistance

Throughout this outreach campaign, Dre Kirkpatrick’s 21 Kids Foundation will provide eligible individuals and families with free transportation to local vaccination sites or to any of our community outreach events.
